Songs of Great Victory: «Katyusha»

Victory Day (9 May) is a sacred and precious holiday for each of us. We will always honour the unprecedented feat of all those who heroically fought at the fronts of the Great Patriotic War, laboured on the home front, and rebuilt the country during the post-war years.

As a part of the festivities, the Music Hall Theatre has prepared a special musical programme to commemorate our heroes.

Today, in celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the famous «Katyusha» will be sung, one of unofficial symbols of the Great Patriotic War. Some suppose that it is this song that inspired Soviet soldiers during the war to nickname rocket launchers of the BM series Katyusha.
